about me

My journey into meditation commenced during my early teenage years, guided by prominent researchers at Kings College in London through treatment for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Experiencing meditation and mindfulness at such a young age unveiled the transformative potential of yoga in the recovery process, sparking a lifelong passion. Naturally I started working with injury and illness through my teaching career, but what happened through this experience was a profound realisation of how connected the mind and body are.

In every yoga class I conduct, I strive to help students build a deeper relationship with their body, finding and reconnecting to their inner confidence. My goal is to cultivate a space that is not only safe and nurturing but also accessible, allowing clients to depart with a sense of physical and mental rejuvenation. Having been a yoga student myself, I often found classes to be fast-paced, leaving me feeling left behind. Drawing from those experiences, I ensure that every class I teach is inclusive, accommodating individuals of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

Throughout my years of teaching yoga, my instructional approach has evolved to reflect my deep interest in anatomy, biology, and evidence-based methodologies. Integrating yoga with corrective exercises influenced by physiotherapy, my classes are designed to enhance both physical and mental clarity, balance, and overall well-being.

I completed my intensive 200hr and 300hr Yoga Teacher Training with Green Yoga International, emphasizing Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Yin styles. Additionally, I hold a 'Yoga for Injuries' qualification registered with Yoga Alliance and a 'Yoga for Special People' qualification from the British Wheel of Yoga. My credentials also include Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Outdoor First Aid certifications. Furthermore, my educational background encompasses a BA(Hons) in Fine Art and an MA in Cultural Policy, which infuse creativity into my yoga sequences. Currently, I am undergoing training to become a counselor, holding a Certificate of Higher Education in Psychology and Level 2 & 3 in Counselling Skills.

In addition to my yoga expertise, I am qualified to provide Thai Yoga Massage and Thai Yoga Massage for Pregnancy, an ancient healing art passed down since the third century BC. This unique and powerful massage therapy combines acupressure, gentle stretching, and applied yoga, earning it the moniker 'the lazy man's yoga.'
